Corbin Janell Connett of Abilene passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021. A celebration of Corbin’s life will be held at 3pm on Friday, April 23 at North's funeral Home, 242 Orange St., Abilene.
Corbin was born June 16, 1993 in Levelland, Texas. She was from Abilene, but no one place was big enough to hold her. Corbin was a spirit like no other. She was always ready for any adventure or a party. Corbin never met a stranger, and she judged no one’s story. She had a laugh that was infectious and loved with no conditions or expectations, and she deeply loved her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Dana Davis; siblings, Elizabeth Sosa, and Gavin Stites; grandmother, Beverly Dunaway; stepmother, Val Petronella; nephews, Chase, Ian and Elliott; cousins, Barry, Charlie, Jonathan, Phillip and by many friends that she considered family. I just remember a ton of little moments with Corbin at Peddle. All the small talks we had on our rooftop, the chats we would have when we would run into each other in our kitchen. But most of all, I remember the time when a few of us were doing good and going to the gym every day for a few weeks… and then she convinced me to NOT go and we had drinks at Italic right next door. I don’t even remember what we talked about. It was just laughter and fun. That was also the same day I had learned that she took a train to and from work every day. Thanks for that invite, I’ll miss you. R.I.P

Corbin was one of my co-workers. She was endlessly talented with the work she did, endlessly kind, her hair was incredible, and I am so beyond devastated I didn't get to know her better. All of my love to her family and loved ones - loss like this can be immense.
